“My upper body strength was only to do push-ups and sit-ups. I never knew how to target the muscle groups. Free weights and kettle weights were strings I avoided. First, my upper body strength is the best it has ever been. I have lowered my run time dramatically to my first and second miles. I don’t fear the free weights, kettle weights or the dead lifts. With a pro, their was the knowledge of progression and targeting muscle groups to equal full growth. I would have never been able to do that on my own. I have been beyond pleased with working out with a personal trainer and firmly recommend the program. I had been in the military for 24 years and never had an issue with a PT test. I worked out regularly. I can feel the difference is muscle tone, strength and even flexibility that I now have. I have done workout programs like Insanity, Insanity Asylum and P90x. Every single one went back to the same exercises. They didn’t really build the strength and lower my actual run time that I was looking for. Working with a trainer allows the two of us to shape the progress needs towards the goals that I have. In conclusion, since working out with a personal trainer, I’ve lost over 12 lbs; the doc has cut my blood pressure meds in half; I’ve lowered my run time (original goal); I’ve increased my upper body strength; I can find my abs now; my stamina at work, play, outdoors, running and under stress is the best it has been in years.
