I’ve struggled with mental health difficulties all my life, but since starting on a regular training program, everyone around me has noticed a marked change to my outlook and attitude! It’s given me a framework in which to build healthier lifetime habits, the gym provides a positive environment to grow in, and my trainer, Taylor, is a supportive guide in empowering me to make positive decisions. It provides a tangible means of measuring growth; every time I’m able to stretch a little further or lift a little more, I’m proud of myself for that hard-won progress, and I’ve been able to carry that into other areas of my life because Taylor has provided a nurturing environment and education that supports and empowers my decisions with concrete, measurable results—I’m no longer simply ignoring and burying my problems, I’m learning how to deal with them practically and effectively, all in the framework of caring for my physical health.
